Jack Anderson has been using watercolor as his art medium of choice since the mid 1960's. Although he diverts to other mediums such as pastel or egg tempera for a change of pace he finds watercolor the most spontaneous, versatile and exciting challenge and the most personally rewarding of the art mediums. He has both a B.S. and M.S. degree in art education from Norther Illinois University and has completed additional advanced work through several universities in the midwest. Jack taught for 18 years in the Crystal Lake, IL area and became a full time painter in 1977.
Jack's watercolors reveal his love for Door County. He finds the area most inspiring with an inexhaustible supply of subject matter. However, he often paints a favorite spot again and again with changing atmospheric conditions and at different seasons. He enjoys painting old weathered wood, sagging roof lines, early log barns, meandering fence lines and creeks. Sue, Jack's wife, runs the Jack Anderson Gallery in Sister Bay. They reside near Gills Rock. View Jack Anderson's online gallery now.

After service in World War II, Charles Peterson studies at Chicago's Art Institute and graduated from The American Academy of Art. He earned A BA at Marietta College, an MFA at Ohio University and pursued further study at the University of Wisconsin. Thereafter he enjoyed a distinguished twenty year career as Professor of Art, including fifteen as head of the Art Department at Marietta College. In 1973 Professor Peterson moved with his family to Ephraim, Wisconsin and took up a new career as full time painter in which he soon established a national reputation.
In 1988 The White Door Publishing Company began national distribution of Peterson's "memories Collection" and his "Maritime Collection" of signed, limited edition prints, widening the circle of enthusiastic collectors of his work. This popularity grew so quickly that as early as 1992, US Art magazine began listing him among the nation's top ten most popular artists in the print industry. White Door published his first book, "Of Time and Place," in 1994 and his second book, "Reflections," in 2001. View Charles L. Peterson's online gallery now.

Bridget Austin, a UW-Madison graduate with a degree in art, has a background in graphic design and art education. She has been fascinated by watercolor since 1975 and has enjoyed teaching watercolor workshops for almost as long. The changing seasons, the beauty of Northeastern Wisconsin and Door County, and new images from her travels provide inspiration. Highlights on rocks, flowers, foliage, and old buildings all painted in rich flowing color are likely subjects. Bridget is a signature member of both the Wisconsin and Midwest Watercolor Societies, and served on the Midwest's board of directors. She and her husband Gary have a daughter Emily and live in Green Bay. View Bridget Austin's online gallery now.
